Hilton brings Motto brand to Japan with 108-room Kyoto hotel opening in 2029
Hilton is collaborating with Heiwa Real Estate Co to open Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The 108-key hotel will start in 2029.
In Kyoto, Hilton’s account is set to expand to seven hotels throughout numerous brand names, including an upcoming Curio Collection by Hilton real estate.
This will be the first Motto by Hilton property in Japan. The hotel will feature an all-day dining diner and a lounge with an open terrace.
Hilton at present runs 13 Motto hotels, with over 24 hotels under progress. Latest openings included properties in Brazil and Nashville, U.S.A., whilst the group has also inked agreements for properties in Paris, Shanghai and Sydney.
“As section of our initiatives to realise our long-term vision, WAY2040, we are expanding our hotel service as a brand-new area of development,” claimed Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto, the business’s representative director, president and chief executive officer.
“Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma will offer a fresh, locally rooted hospitality experience that motivates event, creating a new kind of visit for visitors seeking to immerse themselves in Japan’s social capital,” claimed Alex Shockley, Hilton’ top supervisor, lifestyle and collection brands for Asia Pacific.
Hilton is going to take care of the real estate for Heiwa. The Japanese property developer and property business takes care of a profile of commercial and non commercial properties in Japan, including the stock market establishments in cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
The hotel will be a two-minute walk from Shijo Terminal on the Kyoto Municipal Metro Karasuma Line and Karasuma Stop on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. This will allow visitors practical transport accessibility to preferred Kyoto attractions like Nishiki Market, the historical Gion and Higashiyama areas, and retail offerings in the Shijo Kawaramachi area.
