“Whilst m-o-m brand-new home rate readings for second-tier cities were close to stopping their fall, the most up to date information reveal marginally deeper declines, indicating more pressing demands to stabilise their housing industry,” claimed Yan Yuejin, vice-president of Shanghai-based real estate consultancy E-house China Research and Development Institute.

“We believe a further move will pivot on recognition of an earnings recovery and a broader physical market recovery. We continue to be positive and anticipate home rates to stabilise further, underpinned by durable deluxe need and healthy secondary-market liquidity,” Kwok stated.
