Sunway Property launches Sunway Majestic with 70% of buyers from Malaysia, 30% from Singapore

Sunway Property has already launched Sunway Majestic, its very first project in Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC) and the city hub’s very first SOHO condos. With property term, a location just 3 km from the upcoming Johor Bahru– Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, and next to Sunway Commercial Square, the property is logically positioned for both own-stay buyers looking for city-centre advantage and clients wanting to capture cross-border rental requirement.

Sunway Majestic is also section of Sunway Property’s The BIG Deal campaign, featuring 16 Signature Projects and New Launches throughout Klang Valley, Johor, Ipoh, and Penang. Ranging from currently up until Nov, the campaign offers RM10 million in funds benefits, along with unique packages and buyer rewards.

Buyers to day mirror Johor Bahru’s cross-border profile, with 30% Singaporeans and 70% Malaysians (of which 60% work within Singapore). Purchases are mostly for own stay (70%), with 30% for investment.

Johor is gaining from significant policy and facilities catalysts. The Johor– Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), formalised earlier this year, is expected to bring in substantial investment and business circulations. On the other hand, the RTS Link, connecting Bukit Chagar (JB) to Woodlands (Singapore) by late 2026, will cut cross-border travel to just 6 minutes.

Sunway Majestic marks Sunway Property’s first project in JBCC and the city hub’s first SOHO condos. Sunway Majestic has 1- to 3-bedroom SOHO units commencing at RM400,000, with the option to customise under Sunway Property’s unique Design to Own idea. This cost point sits well just within the selection sought by 72% of surveyed buyers (RM1 million and below), the Sunway news release says.

According to an independent study by Milieu, ordered by Master Community Developer Sunway Property (June 2025) to assess Singaporeans’ interest rate in Johor real estates, almost half (48%) of surveyed property seekers are thinking about Johor Bahru for their next purchase– 83% of whom already own property in Singapore.

The property development features multi-tiered security systems. Connectivity is strengthened via a dedicated transportation assistance to the RTS, a pathway link to Hutan Bandar, and access to surrounding malls, schools, and healthcare facilities. It is adjacent to Sunway Commercial Square, a retail center for shopping and dining to be handled by Sunway Malls.

” Homebuyers here are discerning and assume long-term,” stated Gerard Soosay, Sunway Property Chief Executive Officer (Southern Region). “Johor Bahru’s appeal is actual, however assumptions are greater: communities have to be secure, linked, and adaptable to cross-border lifestyles. That is the criterion we are developing towards. Our duty as Malaysia’s Master Community Developer is to satisfy this progressing landscape with a long-term sight, co-investing in the areas we develop and remaining true to our assurance of being With You For Generations.”
